SkittlesOwn: Since I first answered, I mangaed to install DDraw fix, but nothing changed in the game, it is still not working like it was one week ago.

Hickory: Where do you have the game installed, and do you have any mods? If so, please post the contents of your weidu.log here.
The game is installed on my main hard drive, the C:, in a GOG Games folder. I have tried putting the DDraw fix and I have also tried installing the fixpack debug after the game turned out really bad. Here's the log:

// Log of Currently Installed WeiDU Mods
// The top of the file is the 'oldest' mod
// ~TP2_File~ #language_number #component_number // [Subcomponent Name -> ] Component Name [ : Version]
~WIDESCREEN/WIDESCREEN.TP2~ #0 #0 // ?????? -> : ???
~BG2FIXPACK/SETUP-BG2FIXPACK.TP2~ #0 #0 // BG2 Fixpack - Core Fixes: v10
~BG2FIXPACK/SETUP-BG2FIXPACK.TP2~ #0 #1000 // BG2 Fixpack - Game Text Update -> GTU Light (by Wisp): v10
~BG2FIXPACK/SETUP-BG2FIXPACK.TP2~ #0 #3 // BETA Core Fixes (please check the readme!): v10
~DDRAWFIX/DDRAWFIX.TP2~ #0 #0 // DDrawFix -> Force DirectDraw Emulation: v1.0

As for the cleanup, I would have to open my laptop, something I'm a bit reluctant to do at this time, but I might just give it a go.

DDrawFix should be installed first and the widescreen mod MUST be installed last. Also, remove the BETA fixes. In fact, you should not be using the widescreen mod while troubleshooting. Try a fresh install with just DDrawFix, and the core fixes / text update.

If your not confident with opening up your laptop, there is sure to be a YouTube video showing how to open and perform maintenance on your model laptop.

I did that for my wife's laptop after she spilled water on it and it stopped working.... even after letting it dry out for 3 days it still didn't work. I found out why - Inside there are useless films of plastic that trap water between it and all the most sensitive parts of the computer. It is very difficult for the water to come out on its own, you have to remove the useless plastic. I got my wife's laptop working again and it has had no problems for the 2 years since that happened.
