There is a strange thing that keeps happening to the game. I was playing fine for about an hour then I alt-tabbed to check something and when I got back, the game kept bringing up the save/load menu. I closed the game and opened it up again and nothing. Has anyone experienced this? Is there a fix for it? Thank you.

Which Baldur's Gate title? Instead of Alt+Tab you could try switching into windowed mode with Alt+Enter and then go to the app you like to use. When you come back to BG hit Alt+Enter again to return to fullscreen.

I'm trying to play Baldur's Gate: The Original Saga. I have tried restarting my pc and it still does the same thing. I thought it might have been my keyboard since the game acting like I keep pressing Esc but I hit Esc to go back to the game and it just opens the menu again.

Have you tried opening a different program where the esc key does stuff? Maybe something is holding the key down beneath the visible key part; that should help you identify if it is your keyboard.

If it doesn't seem to be your keyboard, then check some of the game setting menus and try toggling some options. Maybe you can "jiggle it" back into place.

If you have some more time, then you might also try the standard uninstall/reinstall.

If absolutely nothing else works, you could take a hammer to your computer and then get a new computer. ;)

I'm curious: why are you hitting Esc to go back to the game from ALT+TAB? Also, do not ALT+TAB with original BG. Use the method described by DeMignon: use ALT+ENTER to go to Windowed mode, do what you have to, and when you want to go back to the game, select the game window and ALT+ENTER again.

I haven't actually tried reinstalling it. Going to do that right now. When I alt-tab I dont hit esc to get back to the game. After I alt-tabbed I just tabbed back into the game like any other game. I will definitely not alt-tab anymore and just do the alt-enter method if reinstalling works.

I am having this issue myself. After a few seconds, it takes me to one of the menu screens, such as spellbook or main menu. In addition, I could not properly name my char, it gave me a garble of letters I could not edit successfully.

Will try the escape button switch to alt-enter to see if it does any good, though I am not running other programs or minimizing to multi-task.

It's a driver issue. Reboot your computer.

I have some annoying problem at my android , it keeps pausing my game while i was playing Trials Frontier ornShadow Fight and while i was playing Clash of clans it keeps disconnect me from the server due to unactivity
Can someone please help me with this?
