So I followed http://www.gog.com/news/enhance_the_gameplay_in_your_edition_of_baldurs_gate_from_gogcom pretty much to the letter. Problem I am having is the shaded fog of war area of the game screen flickers terribly when I pan (or scroll?) the viewable area around. At least it seems its only the fog of war area. Possibly just more noticeable than the currently revealed area around my character.

I've tried numerous fixes mentioned in other "flickering" problem threads with no luck. Appreciate any suggestions. If any particular system info is needed let me know and I'll update the thread.

I Second that. I had the same problem and couldn't find a fix for it.

Thank you very much.

+2 from me, as this disturbed me too.
Though this was not my only problem with the game, so I'm 100% sure I'll never play it through.
Crossing fingers for BG2 to be better.
Thank you!! What a simple but very annoying problem. I had some trouble finding the correct baldur.ini file (there seem to be several of them, and I wasn't sure if I should be changing the one for BG1 or BG2) so here's its exact name and location for future readers:

C:\GOG Games\Baldur's Gate 2\baldur.ini

Changing "3D Acceleration=" from 0 to 1 indeed fixed it. Whew!
