OK, so I've looked around and thus far haven't found another topic with this issue (not saying it isn't there, just that I don't see it) and so was looking for a little help.

One of the classic features of the Baldur's Gate games was the ability to export from BG-ToSC to BGII-ToB, however I am having a bit of a problem with doing this with my new GoG versions.
First, BGII doesn't recognize the existence of any BG game saves
Second, going through the BG program files, I cannot find the game saves myself! I know they exist, I used em to play through for Pete's sake. But in the program files, the only game saved is the "MissionPack."
So, does anyone know either how to accomplish the export / import, or at the very least just where on my computer GoG has BG saving the stupid files so I can move them myself?

Lies, this has been answered a few times on this forum.
The saves are located here: C:\Users\‹login name›\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\<application name><save folder>
You have to copy your character file that should have been created after the fight with big boss man to the character file folder in BG2. Not sure if that's in the BG1/2 directory or the virtual store, but that's how you do it.

NOTE: NOT THE SAVE FILE, THE CHARACTER FILE
And you can avoid this problem later on by installing outside of Program Files.

Thanks!
But, I'm curious, why couldn't I see either that file or all my saved games when I went
C:\Program Files\GOG.com\Baldurs Gate like I always had before?
Is this another Vista thing?

You cant find them because the OS puts them elsewhere :)

This article explains it.

As suggested by TheJadedMieu, install outside of Program Files to avoid these sorts of problems.
