I get this error whenever I try to go inside a house or an inside location :(((
is it because I have the widescreen mod installed?

Did you start a new game after installing widescreen? The mod won't work otherwise.

hmmm nope, I've loaded some saved games..

also without the mod the game works fine but.. really can't play at that low resolution on a 27" screen..

so I gotta start all over again eh? this will be like.. 20th time or so :(

Sorry ;)
You can play in a window though. Very small, centered window, but still...

My save file actually doesn't have this issue after patching, but maybe I'm just lucky...

...or not yet ;)
From Widescreen readme:

'It is possible to load an earlier save with BG2, TotL and IWD2. However, in TotSC and Ps:T it is imperative to start a new game (or you will have lots of crashes).'

Urg... well I'm not that far into the game, so no big deal if I have issues.
