I am playing the EE Trilogy heavily modded by the Big World Set-up. I'm on the 3rd underground level of the Tower and I have beaten all the element monsters, but after beating the last one, I'm not getting transported to the giant chess-board. I've tried doing the Air Aspect last, the Slime monster last, and the Polar Bear last, but with no better luck. I've restarted the level over again and had no luck. Is there a way with EE Keeper or any other way to get to the chess board? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You should be able to move to the chessboard by entering this in the console:

C:MoveToArea("AR0506")

How do you open the console?

Sorry, I was a bit ahead of myself!

First, you need to edit the settings file baldur.lua:

- In Windows, go to C:\Users\<your windows user name>\Documents\Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition.
- Create a backup of the file baldur.lua just in case!
- Open baldur.lua in a text editor such as Wordpad, Notepad++ or MS Word (it doesn't display right in Notepad!)
- Enter the following line at the bottom of the file:
SetPrivateProfileString('Program Options','Debug Mode','1')
(see attached screenshot)
- Save and close.

Start Baldur's Gate - Enhanced Edition and load your savegame.

Press CTRL + Space. A dialog box opens at the bottom of the screen.

Type C:MoveToArea("AR0506") and press Enter. You should end up in the Chessboard area.

Do you use SCS, perchance? I've hit same problem. There's a global var "DWWFissionSlime" or something like that, setting it to 1 with console triggers the teleport in that case.

Thank you SO much!!! I got it to go the the Chessboard with your help. The only difference was I needed to do it to BG2 instead of BG1 because the EE Trilogy that plays from there. Then selected from a list of "Travel To" places the Durlag's Tower Chess Board and I was transported there. I got immediately into the fight at the Chessboard, because of where I was placed, but I can continue on now from where I got stuck.
