If a party member dies, I assume there is no way to bring them back? Also when i switch out party members for new ones, does the party member removed from the party stay in that spot or do they move around the game world? Sorry if its a noobish question.

I usually just load my game if someone dies, but here's how it works from what I remember:

You should be able to resurrect a dead party member at a temple. There is one in or close to each town. It costs 500 gold if I remember correctly. It could be more. The exception to this is if the party member dies from a critical hit. You can tell because their body explodes into chunks, and their portrait disappears from your sidebar. They can't be resurrected if this happens.

I believe a removed party member will stay where you left them. Some members will wait for you to come and invite them back, but others will not rejoin your party once you remove them.
I tend to reload, too.
Exception to this is, of course, if i wanted someone to die (to have his buddy stay in my party). :D
I usually reloaded as well, but there was a part, where I accidentally not thinking about it saved over another save with a dead party member. Also I did something similar Grombart. Except when they both left the party, I killed one and got the other to rejoin.
