I've been playing this game for over 20 years off an on, but I never really figured if weapons with the "Quality" label ever break. For example, quality longsword, quality battle axe, etc. You can buy quality weapons from someone in Beregost after you complete the Nashkel mines, I believe.

I'm just wondering if weapons labeled "Quality" ever break. They technically aren't magical as far as I know.

I notice people never mention the quality weapons that you can buy from Taerom Fuiruim after solving the Nashkel mines, people just say get +1 weapons or greater. How come nobody ever brings up the quality weapons you can buy after solving the Nashkel mines? I don't think those would break, unless I'm wrong.
The Baldur's Gate Wiki says about the quality items from the Thunderhammer Smithy: "These items are unbreakable as they're made from untainted ore."

Ah, thanks. I figured, but nobody ever really mentions the 'quality' equipment after beating the mines whenever someone asks if non magical weapons stop breaking after finishing the Nashkel mines, so, I wasn't sure if many others were aware that you could buy quality weapons from that smithy after getting past the mines.
Note also that "quality weapons" were not present in original release of BG1 or TotSC. That may explain why there is little information about them.
