just opened it thru gog downloader. did file integrity check. now setup_baldurs_gate.exe and the same but .tmp are listed as processes, hard drive light is always on, but 5-10% cpu usage and waiting forever......neither of those processes are using cpu....running vista with all current updates....was looking forward to playing this tonight...

Run as admin and give it a long time to be sure it's not working. Apparently on some systems (especially with Vista and Win7), it can take several minutes before it does anything.
I had trouble loading my 1st GoG game. I'd click on install, and nothing would happen, even though my PC gave indications that it was trying to obey the command.

I then turned off my internet connection, so I could disable my firewall. Disabling my firewall is what allowed my game to install. I've since done that w/all my GoG's, and haven't experienced any trouble thereof.

Hope this helps.

I'm on Vista and got the same problem, the bigger the setup file, the longer the wait. I recently installed Gothic 2, the file was about 2 Gb and it took about an hour to launch after checking the integrity of the file. The mouse cursor was "thinking" when I hovered it on the game folder but I could use the cpu like normal.
Can't wait to install the Witcher and its 8 Gigs
