Hi, I found a wallpaper that reuses an image I was trying to source. It is copyrighted to GOG 2010, so I wanted to ask the people who revamped Baldur's Gate II back in 2010, if at all possible, where the image comes from?

I've been able to track a similar version to the cover of Polyhedron UK #7, back in 2000, which is from before BGII was launched; I'm assuming it's originally from promotional materials or concept art. I haven't had the pleasure to play the game, but people who have played it assure me it's not in the game itself.

Have your lawyer contact Beamdog if you want a response from them.

My lawyer? Sounds like something ugly went down in the meantime... ok, I'll look for Beamdog, thanks!

Just a little quip about how hard it is to get them to respond to anything.

the people that revamped BG are called Beamdog but that image belongs to Gog [Project Red] because it predates the EE games

the image was early Concept art for the slayer and Gog owns the rights because it was included in a pile of old art bundled along with Bg1&2 ... even if they are totally unaware of where it came from
John Gallagher confirmed it was his draft, digital art by Mike Sass. OK, that's all I needed, thanks!
