Hi All,

I have recently bought BG2EE on GOG, and discovered that the feature under the option for 'More Confirmation Prompts' is broken. When I had the option enabled, left clicking on a memorised spell showed no warning before the spell was removed. I am just wondering is Beamdog still patching BG2EE? I did a google search and the most recent mention of this bug was 1 year ago. I know this is not a major game breaking bug, but is still very annoying.

Cheers

Don't bet any money on it.
It's a known bug, - https://support.baldursgate.com/issues/23956. The patching of BG is planned (and bugfixing will be a part of it after the 2.4 patch is released), check Beamdog's plans here - http://blog.beamdog.com/2017/06/pstee-patch-313-and-whats-next-for.html.

How does PST:EE plans factor into BG2:EE bug fixes?
Bonkers that a game that worked perfectly before these bozos stole it, needs bug fixing for years on end. Maybe the quote from the start of the original game is fitting here? Maybe another reason these clowns decided to remove it? Too close to home.

Assuming the same team of developers is responsible for both projects, then it is a matter of scheduling the available man-power, especially if it is a small team.

There's absolutely no mention of BG bug fixes in that article, only 64 bit upgrade. A year since the last patch highly suggests there will be no more, unless it's to introduce Steam trading cards et al.
The article I've linked mentions plans for all EEs, not PST:EE.

"Once the 2.4 patch series has been completed, we will bring those improvements to desktop and Android versions of BG:EE, BGII:EE, and IWD:EE alongside more bug fixes and feature requests submitted by the community, including Steam achievements for Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition."

Don't cherry pick. Read it all:

"Our fans on iOS ...
...will have all of our Enhanced Edition games upgraded to 64-bit as part of our 2.4 patch series....
Expect to see more details on these iOS patches later this summer.

Once the 2.4 patch series has been completed, we will bring those improvements to desktop and Android"

In other words, after a year without a single patch, if you're lucky you might get something next year.

Excuse me if I don't believe a word of it.

I have nothing to add.

How can I respond to being "not entirely honest" if we all are quoting the same article and understand it differently.

I reiterate - the plan is as is described in the article - 2.4 (64-bit), then bug fixing and implementing features for all the EEs.

"Understand it differently"....Sounds like "Alternative facts".

We've all seen ample examples of your so-called "understanding" and it didn't look good then and it doesn't look good now.
