Hey guys,

So I'm running a machine with Windows 7, downloaded just BG2 complete, and was looking foward to a playthrough. I install a few mods: the basic fix mod and unfinished business, plus the Rogue Rebalancing Mod (http://readme.spellholdstudios.net/readme_rr.html) which I was super-excited about (Bard subclasses other than Blade that are worth playing? Yes.) and Dungeon-Be-Gone )http://www.pocketplane.net/mambo/index.php?option=com_content&task=blogcategory&id=98&Itemid=79), which I've had good experiences with before. Also, some Throne of Bhaal stuff: ascension, tougher bosses, mods that have been around forever.

The problem is, once I started up, some of these mods either seem to have worked only in pieces, or not at all. The Rogue Rebalacing Mod, for example, rewrites the thief kits like it's supposed to, but the changes to weapon proficiencies flat-out don't happen. Dungeon-Be-Gone says it installs fine, but doesn't work at all. I didn't do a full test, but it also looks like the Throne of Bhall-specific mods didn't install correctly either, since regular Illesara instead of the super-hard version confronted me when I loaded up a TOB game. Don't know how to test if the FixPack went in correctly or entirely.

Also, this is a weird thing: the GOG version, without any tweaking on my part, has the bonus merchant in the Adventurer's Mart, but is missing the one in the Copper Cornet.

I've played around with BG2 pretty extensively in the past, and I've never had mods give me this sort of trouble before: does anybody have any insight into why the GOG version of the game doesn't seem to be playing nicely with them, and what I can do to fix it?

Thanks

The simplest way: uninstall BG2 and install it somewhere outside C:\Program Files.

If you keep the game in default location, you must remember to install each mod & run the game each time with admin privileges.

Diedre was added in one of the official patches
This solved the problem completely! Thanks so much!
