That's the thing that's kept me from playing the original, the basic selection of classes compared to BG2. Is there a mod that adds them? Does the EE have them? I wanna play a sorcerer dangit. I should note I don't have BG2 anymore, let alone the GOG version.

I believe they brought the kits and classes from BG2 to BGEE, so you should be able to play a Sorcie
They basically did TuTu to BGEE and it runs in the BG2 engine, so all classes in BG2 are present.

That said you can also use EasyTuTu or BGT to the original BG (you get both the original and EE in one package here) to do the same. You'll find all the relevant information in the stickies.

TuTu was great for this, really.
This is one of the nicest things about the EE. You can play a kitted character (or a Monk or Sorc) through the entire series (and thus can both have a kitted character *and* the chance to get the Big Metal Unit, for instance) without needing any mods. :)

(Also I'm pretty sure you can now pre-learn the level 5 spells on a multiclass Mage PC and have them ready to go when you reach BG2 - the time I tried a F/M in the original games I was quite disappointed to find I was told to re-pick my entire spellbook and lose everything I'd learned during the first game ... the only EE character I've played through both so far is a Druid, so I haven't had a chance to try this in the EEs)
As others have suggested: use TUTU if you don't have BG2 anymore. You don't need the EE version for that.

They need BG2 to install TuTu. But I agree with the sentiment.

If you don't have BG2 anymore, then you cannot use EasyTuTu. That mod requires an installation of BG2. The same is almost certainly true of BGT, since it combines the series into one game, but the Readme file for this mod seems to no longer be available.

Obviously, you cannot play BG1 in the BG2 engine if the BG2 engine is not available on your machine.

If you don't have BG2, then you will need to buy BG1EE if you want to play with BG2 kits or classes throughout the entire series.
Oh man, true. Totally forgot :S
