I've downloaded it from the G3 site and tried to install to my BG folder, but I get an error message every time; "unable to find dialogue.tlk" or something along those lines.

Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but maybe one of you can point me in the right direction.

I downloaded to my usual Bioware folder on my D drive, which is where I keep all my patches etc., but I am trying to open it to my C drive programs/86 (Yes it's a Vista machine). It starts to run the install program but fails.

Since I've played the game dozens of times I really want the experience cap removed.
Vista... *Don't* install into *any* \programs or \program files directory if you want to mod your games. Microsoft's security protections are extreme in those directories. Best bet is to install to C (or D):\Games, extract the mod into the game folder and run the setup-bg1tweaks.exe.
I'll give that a shot. I have successfully installed other mods into the GOG directory but I guess the Tweak pack is a different kettle of fish. Thanks.

I had the impression you installed it to C:\programs.

I've just played through the GoG version with BG1 Tweaks v4, installed to F:\GoG.com\BG1, and it installed fine. If you still have trouble, check your install directory and make sure your dialog.tlk file is there.

And one more thing. If you're playing BGT or TUTU/EasyTUTU it won't install. It's for vanilla BG1 only. For the others you need the BGT Tweaks (BGT only) and BG2 Tweaks.
Thanks. I am playing vanilla BG1 downloaded from GOG.
