I've tried to reinstall BG1 with no avail. What happens is it won't even load the file. The progress bar on my Documents folder (Win7, by the way) get to about 97% percent before just kind of stopping. I've tried deleting the file and downloading it again, updating GOG Downloader and downloading it again, and trying it on another computer. I've tried running as admin but that causes my Downloads page to crash. Is it the file or something on my end?

EDIT: Scratch that, the problem was entirely on my end. Now to figure out how to delete posts...

If I can ask, what was the problem? I've been having some issues with installing the game myself.

The install would not boot up, and it seems the thing that solved it was letting my computer run for a while. I restarted my computer, messed around on YouTube for a while, and when my computer was running on full cylinders, started the install. Also, before installing Baldur's Gate, I installed another game to test and see if the problem was with all files (I tried Neverwinter Nights) and it worked fine. So, let your computer run, test another file, then try BG.

And make sure you don't install to any "Program Files" directory. Any Windows newer than XP protects the files in those directories so you can't even mod the game without extreme difficulty.
