I have read that you can apparently get Biff the Understudy in your party and I am wondering what the easiest way to do so.

Assume the game is being played under these conditions:
1. The original ending is used. (No TuTu/BGT/EE in use.)
2. No mods are used.
3. The console is not permitted. However, glitches are permitted.

Also, does anyone have Biff's stats handy?
Since Biff was a 'fix' for a three way dialog bug, I imagine the easiest way would be to get into a situation where a joinable NPC makes dialog with a party NPC or vice versa. Without racking my brain, I can think of Skie and Eldoth. If you can kill Skie before she speaks to Eldoth, I imagine Biff would pipe in to say her lines.

His stats are:
Fighter Level 1
HP - 10
STR, DEX, CON, INT, WIS, CHA - All 9
THAC0 - 20
Saves - All 20

So why would someone want a character with such abysmally low stats in their party? O.o

People who don't play the game. People who's enjoyment comes from finding and honing exploits.

Because I can do that.

Just because he might not be particularly useful doesn't mean it isn't fun to try to recruit him.

By the way, if he levels up, do his saving throws improve to what they should be?

Also, does he have any weapon proficiencies? (I wouldn't be surprised if the answer is "no".)

He's a fighter, so yes. The engine adjusts saving throws automatically on level up.

He's missing his starting pips, but he'll get the rest on level up.

Actually, people who like to study games (like me) rather than just playing through normally. What matters isn't the fact that he isn't worth using, but more the fact that you can get him, even though he isn't supposed to be recruitable.

It's similar to why I killed the tutorial person in Baldur's Gate 2. It's possible, but (I believe) not with new characters. (I actually had to use an HLA (from Throne of Bhaal) to do this.)

That's precisely what I said.
I always enjoy seeing what tricks people can pull off with the engine. There's only so many times you can splat a dragon or lich the same old way before you're looking for other fun. ;)

If you haven't already, I recommend watching some speedruns of the Infinity Engine games. Speedruns are *very* different from normal playthroughs, especially with all the Dimension Door glitching, Polymorph teleporting, and cutscene breaking going on. (What? Limited Wish was cast for a purpose other than having a wish granted?)

Sounds good. I've not watched any speedruns of it before. Watching it with an appreciation of such clever tricks sounds worthwhile and could be funny to see how they break the engine.
