So, I'm starting to get tired of my guys attacking enemies with ranged weapons at point blank. Is there a script that would make them switch to melee weapons when enemies get in range, and if not, how would I make one that does that?

And I'm starting to get tired of people asking questions without specifying which of the four versions of this game they're talking about.
What's wrong with pausing the game and switching the weapons yourself? Combat in IE games revolves around managing your party quite a lot and I'm not sure that you can have scripts for every possible situation.
Part laziness, part being slow to react, but I found the fighter ranged script and am just using that
Scripts are pretty fun when you have to fight weak-normal mobs or for precise ranged targetting. In fact, ranged enemies using "mostdamagedof( )" and checking protection from normal missiles or stoneskin make the game more hard and fun.
