Hickory: Baldur's Gate: Original vs. 'Enhanced' Edition

Make another thread for off topic banter, please.

javier0889: It's not off topic banter because it has to do with the content added to the EE and the mentality behind it.
I apologize if the desecration of the forums is uncomfortable to you.
The topic is about the differences between the two versions, not about gay issues. You are hijacking the thread. Please don't.

Said "gay issues" directly relate to one of the differences that a poster has cited as a negative, namely including gay (or at least bisexual) party members. By posting that, the poster has opened the door to criticism of the basis for their conclusion. Sounds pretty on topic to me, just as much as the other differences discussed here and in this other thread.

No they do not. That poster was out of order, and his post had nothing to do with the differences. Quote:
"The forums and the fanbase is full of... gays... " Fanbase and forums have zero to do with the differences between the two versions, of which the OP asked the question. Can we drop this now, please?

You are beign extremely touchy with the subject. It's clear that the "full of gays" comment was wrong, but it is true that the new content added to the game was created with a contemporary Biowarian perspective. Forum threads are made to discuss things, because if we really want to narrow it down to an objectively valid answer, then the only thing that should be said is this:

No, that would be the vociferous elements who want to pound on it.

it is true that the new content added to the game was created with a contemporary Biowarian perspective.
What?! I'm sure that's helpful to the OP. Not.

I'm not sure what you are trying to achieve with that, but it's nonsense.

Look, I'm not here to press the issue; I have no interest in pursuing this. If you wish to labour the point, be my guest. I asked politely, and now I'm done with it.
