I've installed the huge fix. Run in compatibility mode, as administrator, and even changed the data execution prevention, and I'm still getting the same scenario.

I launch the launcher, hit play, it brings up the settings because it's my first time playing, and when I hit Okay it's just nothing, it closes completely and nothing launches.

I don't have any mods installed or anything like that, just the bug fix and that was in response to this not working in the first place. I'm running out of ideas.

The config program does not launch the game. It quits when you press 'ok'. You need to launch the game once configured. Make a shortcut that launches the game directly, *not* from the launcher. Right click on BGMain.exe and select 'Send to... Desktop (create shortcut)', then use that shortcut to play.

Odd, I don't have BGMain.exe anywhere in the folder. I noticed that before but I thought it just had to launch from the launcher.

If you don't have BGMain.exe then the game is not installed correctly, and you need to uninstall and reinstall.
