It's not really a big issue for me, it just irks me to see that the games use 100% of a core when there's no way they'd need it (I discovered this back when I was in an Aah-my-processor's-gonna-burn-out paranoia phase).
From what I remember of testing, having v-sync on makes no difference as the logic calculations are what's trying to go as fast as possible.
I've found and have been using Battle Encoder Shirase (BES) and setting it to 50% on the game's process (making my fan not quite so loud) but I'd love a first-party way to do it. Anyone know how?
