Updated the game to the latest (whatever version is the latest as of this post). I got corrupted files. Uninstalled the game completely and reinstalled it, it's saying corrupted files again and installation failed.

How do I fix this?

Did you try to run a verify/repair?

I did before I did a reinstall. It didn't seem like it was doing anything. The progress was stuck at 0% for several minutes so I cancelled it and just reinstalled. Then I got the first installation failed message.

I fully uninstalled a second time, deleting saves and local files and it still shows installation failed. I even selected retry but it was still failing.

I just downloaded all 29 parts for the offline installer and now am installing through that. And it's taking a very long time. Hopefully that works.

Ok, I just sat through installing this game, painstakingly, through the offline installer just to get the very first error message saying that there is a data mismatch and that files are corrupted through the Larian launcher.

What is happening? How am I just not able to install this game and play it all of a sudden?

Is there an Admin on here that can assist me with this?

Edit: No I do not have nor use mods. I've installed this game twice already through GOG Galaxy and both times the installation has failed claiming corrupted files. Then installed it a third time through the offline installer and it's still saying that there's a data mismatch and I have corrupted files. I have no issues with any other game.

Ignore that error and carry on - seriously :(
Sorry you had to waste so much time.
After a clean install, GOG puts two (2) - if I'm remembering right - files of their own into the install folder and this freaks out the Larian Launcher Self Check.

You could go and delete the files so that you don't get that error message anymore.
Or you could just click close.
Or you could just start the game without using the launcher; i.e. run the game by double-clicking on bg3.exe (being the Vulkan executable) or bg3_dx11.exe (being the DirectX executable)

To clarify when installing through GoG Galaxy the installation fails completely and asks to either retry or uninstall. The offline installer worked but got the corrupted files error on the Larian Launcher. Alright I'll try and find those 2 files to remove. Thanks for the info!

From memory, the two (2) files that cause the issue after a clean offline install are "EULA.txt" and "webcache.zip"

the issue is at their server not your system

patch 1 did have corrupted DX11 files and other issues missing 78 mb from the patch
1st patch come out missing parts
2nd they released a quick hotfix to repair that
3rd then they remade patch 1
so now we have two copies of patch 1 with the same build numbers but different files... cross saves are busted and which version you have depends on when you grabbed it but if you get the mismatch error you posted then you have the first patch 1

i would delete that off line version and install the Galaxy one to get the 2nd patch 1 or just wait for Larian and Gog to stop fucking around
