There's nothing that says they can't release *two* classes in a patch, or that we'll see all the classes before the actual release, or that there won't be another patch before August.

I'm really hoping for noticeable new content in this one, though. One new class without anything else makes the play throughs repetitive. Especially since this will probably be my 4th or 5th pass through the opening content.

I'm a bit worried that by the time the game is released, I'll be so sick of the opening content that I'll blast through it and overlook stuff that I probably shouldn't (either because I forgot it was there, or because they added it, etc)

So my question is this: they are now offering a bunch of stuff for pre-orders. What about those of us who purchased the game while in development? is this concidered Pre-Order? i've had this game "in development" since 2020. I would hope that is considered pre-ordered.

What stuff are they offering now? Are you sure you're not looking at pre-ordering the collector's edition (for like $250)?

As I understand it, early access to the game in-dev is just that: you get to play the game early. In some cases, feedback from EA players has shaped development of the game. If you're spending $50 to buy the game, you get just the game. if you do it now, you get the game early, bugs and all, and with limited playable content. If you wait till August, you get the game in August, hopefully more polished.

and if you want to play BG3 without major bugs then wait at least until xmas 2023 because what does or doesn't come out in August is going to be sad, just go and have a look at all the day 1 bugs for patch 9 after a few hours of real use

Patch 9 did fix the screen going black if you walk past the boy into the water (a bug caused by HotFix 25) so Larian does get around to fixing bugs we report so go team Larian
