It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Hey all,

So as the title states, my update download speed has been stuck at ridiculously ridiculously low speeds. It jumped up to 20 MB/s for a few minutes, and then it hovered between 0.4-0.5 for like half an hour, and it has been 0.1 since then (occasionally going up to 0.2)

I have a gigabit connection, in the past I have been downloading at between 50-100 MB/s through gog galaxy without any issues. I just can't believe the servers are so stressed my gigabit connection can only hover betwen 0.1-0.5 MB/s.

I have done some digging and it seems that plenty of people have been complaining about similar issues when it comes to GOG galaxy... I also tried to download the offline installer through the website and it reaches a whopping 45-50 Kb/s...

Is there anything else I can try apart from pausing and restarting the update and praying that it would suddenly reach that 20MB/s that it managed to do for 5 minutes? (Which would still be on the low side for my usual speed).
I also flushed my dns, hoping it would help, but unfortunately nope...

Any ideas? It is really frustrating, and again, I just can't believe that in the year ALMOST 2024 we are at this point, the servers can't be this stressed, no way.
the simple fact is you can only download at the max speed their severs can handle and right now thats bugger all

as for what you can do- yes you can make a network tunnel [talk to your ip supplier...] that will limit the number of nols between you and the Gog servers which helps a lot

sometimes it is free and other companies charge... its offen a case that the smaller ip have better customer service

Could be ISP throttle. If you have a VPN try turning it on and downloading.
