So I went to camp to retrieve some items from the Traveler's Chest to sell off. Instead of opening the chest, the game is opening the inventory for one of the characters not currently in the party, but at camp. Tried switching characters around but it did not fix it..... Not a great bug!

I found the answer. Don't know if this is new with Patch 8, but when you click the traveler's chest now, it has a menu at the top that let's you select between the chest or the persons not active in your party.... <duh!>

I think they put that in somewhere around Patch 7. It was a quality of life feature so you didn't need to run all over adding/removing people from your party to organize gear and inventory for everyone.
