On the one hand supporting GOG over Steam *feels* good, but this will always be a downside to it. My roommate simply updated on Steam and it took ~10 minutes. Here I sit 70 minutes later at just about 50%.

I expected slow speeds at launch. However, I'm getting 40-70Mb right now.

Maybe it's location based. I'm in the US.

At least you get to download, my install button is greyed out

Edit: When i use my Wireguard Server i have 13Mb Fullspeed with my Connection :D

I've been stuck at 2.1% for 3 hours now. Pretty frustrating.

like cmon GoG, I love you, but 1.7MB/s 4 hours after launch... I will be here forever

Ive had 3x "Download failed" messages, restarted gog a number of times and download speed jumping from 1mg/s to 13 mb/s. Currently at 31.22gb- gonna take forever- especially if I keep having to retry the download.

Man- I love GOG also, but I wish I went with steam this time.

Do none of you know what server congestion is?

Using Polish VPN connection gives me better download speeds (max. 12 MB/s now, but still highly fluctuating).

You may get off your high horse. People are just sharing their experience.

Update: download died via VPN, but my German connection is finally giving me good speeds (30 MB/s+). Seems lie many people gave up and went to sleep due to work tomorrow. :) Or the Ops wizards at GOG tweaked something, in that case thank you, much appreciated!

Guys, this may sound weird. I've had 1.7 download speed for hours. Then I became so desperate that I decided to restart my PC. And it worked.

I guess i will have to try restart as well because this is ridiculous, I have been downloading for 7 hours!

Been downloading for 14 hours straight now. Speed has not once bumped up above 5 MB/s and seems settled at 1.5 MB/s I know it's launch day but wow.

I bought BG3 today, my connection is bad but usually with my 5g phone i can get good speeds on steam but it seems stuck right now it's at 1.6MB/s but nothing is moving !
