I really dont get the point of this discussion.

Why the hell would you even know what I've installed on my harddisk in the first place.
Hmm I am at 124 gigs here you have all played more than me lately I bet. I played through it like 2 years ago lol.
I've upgraded my 2nd 1TB m.2 for a 4TB m.2; as it was definitely becoming a problem for storage (having to remove games to free up some room for newer ones). At least with 4TB I can install everything I want and have plenty to spare (at least right at the moment, but if BG3 will be the new standard in game size it might not last as long as I would think).

Still even with the storage problems resolved (for the moment), it sounds like the updates are just creating another version of the updated data without removing the old redundant version...can anyone confirm this is what is happening?

Argh, currently the update is 104GB for the new patch; might wait for an offline release as that is pretty much downloading the game again.

EDIT:
It's possible based on a post I was reading over on Larian's forums that the new update removes the older redundant patches, so the size should go down if that is the case...and I noticed that the installer is now showing 104GB now on GOG Galaxy, so it may have to be redownloaded from scratch.

Just confirming that the game is indeed smaller now, nearly 30GB less; which is nice to see!
