I encountered the following error dialog box when launching Bad Mojo Redux in Windows 8.1:
Can't work the Mojo!
No BADMOJO.INI in the current directory or in the Windows directory.
Terminating Application.

To fix this problem, I created a badmojo.ini text file in my "C:\GOG Games\Bad Mojo Redux\" folder.

The contents of badmojo.ini are (replace C:\GOG Games\ with your installation folder):
