I am just wondering how long it would take to complete the demo/shareware versions of every game in the series, including Avernum 1-6 and the remakes of Avernum 1-3. (Perhaps include Exile 1-3, provided you can find the shareware versions (the versions you can currently download are the fully registered versions, and that's not what we want here). Blades of Avernum can, of course, be included; only the scenario that's playable in the demo needs to be completed.

I could place this into 2 categories:
1. Any%: Play each game until the shareware/demo demon (or equivalent) shows up. I note that this might be very quick for games like Avernum 1, where the world is open enough that you can reach the end very quickly, without doing any quests.
2. 100%: Complete every quest completable in the demo. Glitches that allow extra quests to be accessible might be allowed, but if there's a glitch that allows bypassing the activation check entirely, it would make sense to disallow it. (Playing the latest version of the games ought to solve that issue if it exists; I would expect a glitch like this to be high priority and hence would be patched, even if some more minor glitches are left in.)

So, how long do you think this would take?

Oh god, it took me a while. Some of it would be dependent on how you play. I would say 100 to 200 hours, more if you want to do everything.
As long as you need to decide is the cheeky reply.

But yeah, there's a lot to do in the demos, even if you do rush to the exit.
