I have uninstalled and reinstalled this game at least four times. I have used the Galaxy uninstaller; I have gone into the folder it lives in and used the uninstall executable; I have used a custom uninstaller, and I have deleted the files manually. (Before you even ask, I turn off cloud saves with every game I have installed.)

I just opened the game to find my old saves and achievements STILL THERE.

This is a problem because although I have reached the rank of High Commander, I don't even have the Chancellor achievement, let alone that one.

I originally had the game installed on an HDD, but when I install it to my SSD this keeps happening. Does anyone have a fix for either getting the game to truly forget all my data once it's been deleted, or for getting the rank achievements to work properly?

I figured it out-- the game saves all kinds of stuff in places you'd never think to look, and aren't easily findable with a mere search in Windows Explorer. Revo Uninstaller found stuff in not just hidden places but in the god. damn. registry.

Suffice it to say I now have the fresh start I wanted.
