I am thinking about super simple foot work ideas from the past. Namely:
- Space Rogue(1989)
in which the overhead walking around may seem a bad idea until you consider how little work it requires. Plus it conjures up the concept of a whole new aspect of playing the game. Fighting ala gold box D&D stuff also similar to Mines of Titan, for combat reference.

- Star Command (1988)
This harkens to Wasteland a lot. But it makes sense to have a crew and upgrades or buy a new ship that requires a crew beyond 1 person. This really moves to planetary drops like Star Control and serves to gather resiurces and or special items for questing. Also similar to Pirates in which you find buried treasure. Search a cave or ruin ro find something in a derelect crashed ship and monster aliens ambush you.

These old game elements are so much better than most modern games, for reason of better mechanics. The graphics are what kill a game and I am hoping a simple style of these older game could be added to this title. Even the Wasteland remaster looks acceptable. Graphically that is, not the game itself.

So what say you Developer? 1 person already impresses us. Care to make the competition look like a joke by adding this block of ideas?

If nothing else, they provide concepts that are easy to add in as most of the games were literally megabytes small for the entire game lol
Maybe outsource a mathmetician to help get the math stuff done.
you can currently walk around in structures. you can place items in crates and get missions. i am expanding the functionality of the interior structure interactions. i have toyed with the idea of walking around in your ship, but that would be a whole lot of work, and i have decided to wait until i get the game to 1.0 status before i go adding extras.
Thanks for taking the time to reply. Ill take it as a no. But seriously, a simplified overhead walking explore and conflict sustem would open the door to a modding goldmine. If nothing else, youtube the games i mention and portions described for reference.
