I am using this controller, it seems it works fine running the windows version with wine on linux, but it's not working with the linux version, any workaround ? (Or is this just lost battle? that's pretty unfortunate to not be able to take advantage of this version..)
8bitdo say the Ultimate models are only supported in SteamOS. I have the 2.4G Switch version and I haven't had much luck with Linux native GOG games. On top of that the input system we use in art of rally doesn't officially support the 8bitdo Ultimate.

You should still be able to use it as long as you make it recognizable as a "generic controller" or another popular model - just like what Steam input does when using Steam. If you're not into hacky solutions, as an alternative you could try something like AntiMicroX. I use Ubuntu and it's available in the repo, so I tried it earlier today after I saw your post. I got pretty decent results.
