Went to check here on the forums and saw that apparently multiplayer for the second game was removed...

Why? I can play it just fine through hamachi. And thats on Win7 & Win8

Also, is that the same case for the other games? Specially Toys in Space. This gives the impression that there is no real advantage to buying here on gog versus the original version.

Are there any other changes? is there any improvement or they are all downgrading the original game?

Multiplayer was removed for Toys in Space as well, but the single player battles were left in.
hopefully will find a way to add that back in with out problems. glad the ai bit is still there tho

maybe playability was removed ?
I bought the games, after install i was able to run them.
Now i tried to run any army men game and the pc is 'lagging' like hell (pardon ma french)

the rundll32 is using 25 tot 30% cpu on a quad core 2.67 thats ridiculous...

I checked the shortcut, it is set to run in comp. mode xp ?
i assumed the game was fixed, really fixed to work, running in compat is what i could have done myself since i own the last game on cd.
