To quote the exact error message:

Cannot create 3D device:
Adapter 0 (ATI Radeon Xpress Series) Fullscreen
Resolution 1024x768, format X8R8G8B8/D16, refresh 0 Hz.
Error D3DERR_NOTAVAILABLE


Is anyone else having this problem? I tried running it in compatibility mode, but no dice.

Actually, no, as I managed to fix it with a restart. I felt rather dumb for having not thought of that (either one).
