Is it just me or these games don´t work "out of the box"?

Arma Gold works but the screen is black , so unplayable.

Arma Cold War , doesn't matter what options i select in the launcher it gets a error.

I've tried compatibility options and patches but none of these games still works.

I've got a win 10 gtx 1060 8 gb ram intel I5.
My system is updated, so i don´t get it.

Anyone?

As for Arma Gold Edition black screen problem:
Locate - c:\users\[windows username]\My Documents\ArmA 2\ArmA2OA.cfg
Open the file with Notepad
Change Resolution_W=1920;
Resolution_H=1080;
WinX=0;
WinY=0;
WinW=1920;
WinH=1080;
WinDefW=1920;
WinDefH=1080;
The values of resolution are to be set to desired resolution.

For me this one is fixed.

I purchased ArmA: Cold War Assault two days ago. During this time the "Out of reserved memory" error appeared (when attempting to start a mission) sometimes which didn't really bother me.

Since half an hour this error appears ALWAYS. To make it worse, every time the error appears I am getting reverted by one mission in the campaign I want to start. Was forced to back up my save game before the stupid game forces me to replay a very long mission like "Undercover".

Why???

Hi,

This is an error message indicating that the swap file size is insufficient. As the game was developed for a time when an OS could not address the amount of memory like a modern 64bit version, information that exceeded allocated direct access memory would be written to reserved space on the harddrive, the swapfile or pagefile. By defining a swapfile/pagefile of 1024MB or more there should be sufficient space available.

Set your Windows virtual swap file's maximum size to 1000. Reboot and see if that resolves the problem.

If you've tried the above and continue to have this problem with OFP: Resistance, and you've increased the VISIBILITY setting in the VIDEO OPTIONS menu, try resetting VISIBILITY back to the default of 900 meters.

Hey I keep getting this issue where the in game menu freezes, and its due to me maxing out the visibilty range, yet when reinstall this game it has the same settings, how do i change the visibility if its still giving me this problem
