Hello. I'm looking for some help with Arma 2.
I bought it two days ago, and have since been trying to get it to work without success. The problem is as follows.

1. Download game from gog.com
2. Verify game & install.
3. Launch Arma 2: Combined Operations.
4. View splash screens. Get to game menu.
5. Go to video options, set everything to lowest/disabled
6. Start a new campaign.
7. Game loads for a minute.
8. Game begins and renders between 1 and 10 frames before the video freezes. Audio continues.
9. The game now becomes "invisible". It is full screen, but I see my desktop instead of the game.

At this point, if I do nothing, my computer will crash with a blue screen of death within the next 20 seconds.
If I open the task manager (Alt + ctrl + del) and close the game, then my computer will be spared.

Things I have tried:
1. Updating my video card drivers. I have also tried installing older drivers that some people recommended when I searched on Google.
2. Disabling Windows Areo
3. Re-installing and re-downloading.
4. Updating Arma 2 to the newest beta version.
5. Running the game in windowed mode.
6. Forcing Direct3D 9 (via the -winxp argument)
7. Disabling "threaded optimization" in my video card's settings (recommended by someone on Reddit)

System specs meet or exceed the minimum requirements for this game.

If you are wondering, the BSOD references the driver file nvlddmkm.sys which is part of my nVidia video card driver. This is what led me to updating my videocard drivers.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
