I just installed this game as a relaxer after completing a fairly intense FPS - but I've run into an instant problem.

I'm playing on a laptop with a touchpad. but no mouse wheel, and it appears the only way to select a tool (literally the second thing you are asked to do - go and drill some ore, selecting the drill tool) is by mouse wheel.

Obviously I looked at the key bindings but there is no option in that menu for changing the key for tool selection. So... is this game not playable unless you have a mouse with a wheel? It seems hard to believe for a fairly new game, or that no one else seems to have had this problem before, but I'm drawing a blank. TIA.
