Hi everyone,

So as I didn't play the game for a loooooooong time (2003 to be precise) I wanted to take a fresh start with a simple build : an Half-Ogre specialized in melee combat (with just 5 in intelligence to get "normal" conversations).
Now I'm level 40, my skills is melee and dodging are maxed out (and on master level), I have 24 strength, 20 dex and 20 constitution so...what now ?

With various blessing I have increase stats in beauty and charisma, so I thought continuing that way, to get more "positive" reaction but with max dexterity, I'm also interested in lockpicking (because breaking doors and chest is a bit annoying...)

Thanks in advance for your suggestions :-)

Worst case scenario, it's always possible to increase HP and/or Fatigue directly, at +4 of either per point spent. But that may be overkill at this point.

Other options include spending points on Backstab (massive bonus when attacking from behind, with weapons allowable by your skill level), Pick Locks (as you yourself mentioned) and Charisma (to increase your number of followers). Willpower also increases Fatigue and boosts your spell resistance — although to be fair, enemies casting spells requiring a save against WP are few and far between, to the point of being almost nonexistent.

If you do elect to increase CH, the Persuasion skill opens quite a few dialog trees, depending on how far along in the game you are. (Earlier is better, since many quests that could've been resolved with persuasion are probably already taken care of some other way by now.)

Or you could just save up the points, and not use them. It's your call.
I usually try to grab Expert Persuasion for the bonus followers; you get a lot of followers just going up that high.

It's not a bad idea going with any of the other things mentioned though.
Thanks for your answers.

To add some details : I'm quite far in the game (Caladon, Panarii Temple), so I don't know if making trips to add members in the group is worth it at that point.

Maybe I'll dispatch between lockpicking and increasing HP/ Fatigue.

Grabbing people that use magic to just throw heals around is never a bad idea but I get what you're saying. Picklock and Backstab sound like fun ideas.
