kmh12177: The elf girl in Qintarra that wants you to take her to Tarant. She won't leave and her dialogue pops up every 5 seconds. I just went back a save and didn't accept her quest.

I forgot to install the patches before I started, and I'm level 43 and just got to Caladon, so I'm not restarting now.

After this glitch, I'm starting to get afraid of a game-breaker. Can anyone tell me some common ones I should look out for from this point? I read something about Virgil getting stuck in some trees. When does this happen? What town?

I just want to be aware so I can try to avoid any game-breakers. Thanks!

Musashi1596: I can't help much with regards to other common glitches or with your elf problem I am afraid, but Virgil commonly gets stuck upon leaving T'Sen Ang, the Dark Elf city, so I advise you make a backup save before you enter it.

tygrr3: I bought this game recently but haven't had a chance to start it yet. Are there patches that I should download and install before I start playing? I had hoped that getting this game from GOG that I wouldn't need to install anything extra to be able to play the game. Thanks.

GOG can't provide the game already with the Unofficial patches installed because they are just that: unofficial, and so aren't part of the game they are selling. But there are only a couple things you need to do to make the game run well on modern computers, so it isn't a huge hassle for a great game!
