Hey there, is there any way of removing this? I'm playing a Diplomat character, so -2 CHA is a band enough penalty to make me rather just restart the game, 'specially since I didn't actually act aggressively towards Toussaude (I said I wouldn't take sides so I could learn what was going on before randomly killing someone). I so far have been loving this game, but this is incredibly annoying. :/

EDIT: Apparently it's non-removable, which kinda sucks, so I'll remake my guy. That's okay though, I wasn't super far and now I can refine my build a bit. I know it's spoilery, but are there any other come-out-of-nowhere debuffs I should be aware of?

There aren't any curses from quests that I can think of after the one you already found, at least from what I can remember. If you aren't fully patched (with the UAP) then some curses items can permanently lower your stats though.

But yeah, the Madame Toussaude quest is a bit unforgiving if you don't want to reload/can't and chose either the "wrong" side or to be neutral. She very much follows the logic of "you can't be neutral in this matter."

Yeah, it's a bit annoying since I'm playing a diplomat so my natural impulse is to go, "Wait, wait, what's going on?" but that just wasn't acceptable for her. :) Anyway, remaking my characters not too bad since it's thankfully not very fat into the game.
if you don't want to reload, you can use a character editor to bring CHA back up 2 pts...search for arceditor 1.8

Hm, didn't know that existed. I'll definitely keep that in mind in case something happens again.

1. There's a monster that reduces IN. You will be warned.
2. Offering sacrifices to gods might offend them. Don't mess with forgotten cults until you know what you're doing.
3. Important people are quick to offense and are apparently under 24*7 surveillance. Kill a wrong person and it'll be the end of your diplomatic career.

I've used it a few times to wind back major character point investments that could be better used elsewhere, maxing out a stat to +20 to gain a bonus for example.
