Ok so i'm new to the game and i just did the 2ed quest for her but i got stuck on the 3ed or mabe it was the 4th....anyway the point is i looked up how to do it thing is....in rewards it says you can get gold i mean i was doing it for the EXP i could care less about the sex.

I know it is to late to get the gold now but i would like to know how to for maybe if i make a new PC.

Any help would be great.

It looks like YnK is correct: the only quest listed in the OSG that offers the option of gold or a girl is the one to act in her employ, at least for that one mission.

It does require a BE of 7 or greater, however, which begs the question: what happens if a chick with an ugly stick shows up? Is the quest simply not offered, or does Madam Lil make a comment along the lines of, "Ah, if only you were a bit prettier..."?

......Yeah talk about unfair it would have been nice to have the power to pick the gold....

You can pay for girls at the brothel normally or get one as a quest reward, but Madam Lil will comment on your appearance if you aren't pretty. As for others, a character of any gender can have a relationship with Raven if certain checks are passed. M'in Gorad also doesn't seem to care for gender, and it's possible for a female character to "comfort" Lillian Misk.

Yet only female characters are ever offered money as an alternative payment for Madam Lil's quests. Male characters do not get a choice (it's assumed by default that they're interested in women).

In fact, there are no proper male romantic/sexual relationship options, even for a straight female PC (besides a job for Madam Lil and a potential incident with a club owner who accepts a certain form of payment), let alone a gay male.

Who would a female PC even pick? There aren't many good candidates. Virgil is a whiny git who worships the PC. Magnus is a dwarf and even more whiny and obnoxious than Virgil. Torian Kel isn't quite living. Gar is hideously ugly and an uptight prude. Sogg is a drunk and a half-ogre. Loghaire might work, but he's a dwarf so he reproduces through asexual budding.

I guess Geoffrey and Franklin are the only voiced companions left who might work.

None of them are as good as Raven or Z'an though.

It's too bad Sebastian isn't voiced. He's probably the coolest male companion.

Followers aside (incidentally, Virgil does seem to have a bit of a fanbase), there's not even an option to have any sort of an... adventure - two gnomes who want to sleep with you in exchange for money or help don't count. While such treatment is probably appropriate for the setting, it also makes it seem even more biased (the game assumes that a male character would most likely be interested in accepting Madam Lil's offer, to the extent that you can't ask her to pay in coin instead, and here we have a completely opposite problem; and as for why you would end up at Madam Lil's otherwise -- well, she does train in Persuasion, doesn't she?).

Because to access her quests as a male character, you pretty much have to inquire about her prices, then either say you're short on funds, or tell her about your "unusual tastes" then turn down her offer of Belle the sheep. (But there's no option to change your mind about the payment form.) As a female character you just have to ask for work, then clarify that you didn't mean the kind of work she normally offers to pretty girls. Keep in mind that she does need help with her quests either way, but you can't learn about them without going through those conversations.
