Hi guys,

I was just curious what happens if you become friend of the Molochean Hand.

Does that add more dialogue options when you talk with some NPCs later in the game?
Does it affect the Ending Slides in any way or maybe those godlike endings?
If you guys had to make a choice, would you kill Gideon Laier or would you become friend of the Molochean Hand?
What do you guys usually do in your walkthroughs?
Do you usually kill Gideon Laier, the First Blade of the Molochean Hand, or you become friend of the Molochean Hand?

Personally, it depends. When I play as a good PC, I generally let him live; but by doing so, all random encounters with members of the Hand end. (This usually doesn't matter much, since by then I'm generally teleporting from place to place anyway. But if you're using the level cap remover, be aware that that's a potential source of XP you'd be shutting down.)

One interesting scenario might be if you happened to have Torian Kel with you at the time. It might unlock some extra dialogue, if the original Molochean Hand decided to interact with his generations-removed successor. (I do know for a fact that having Vollinger with you does unlock such a dialogue; no spoilers from me here, though.)
I see ... OK thanks TwoHandedSword.

One thing still puzzles me though:
Is becoming a friend of the Molochean Hand necessary for triggering some of the godlike endings?

Becoming a friend with a group that have been trying to kill you for so long sure sounds like a noble thing to do.

The "God endings" are only determined by the final dialogue with the main villain (and only if you patched the game with UAP), they don't have any other triggers, AFAIK. I don't think the interaction with the Molochean Hand has any effect on the ending... (I love Vollinger's dialogue bit with Gideon Laier, though, so I do befriend them usually... :) And Torian Kel doesn't actually talk to him.)

Well, that sucks. Imagine the possibilities...

I may go write some fanfic now.
Thanks YnK, thanks again guys.
