I am playing Arcanum for the first time and I dont understand how I can distribute points to strength, dx, etc. I am now level 9 and from the start of the game I am on the same valoues (numbers). level is rising but I am stuck at same numbers.When I push plus buton it tells me not enough character points. I thought I get points leveling up. Every weapon I get I cant use. Please, help me, game is interesting.

First, are you playing a pre-made character? Their points are automatically assigned using a build scheme. For instance, if you are playing Solomon Doone, the game will give you points in Black Necro, Fatigue and Constitution, but never Strength.

You ought to be able to turn off the game's preselected build scheme by going to the character screen and clicking on the white box in the upper right hand corner and changing it to No Scheme. You will then be able to assign future CPs wherever you'd like.

If you're not playing a pre-made character, it's still possible that you may have accidentally selected a build scheme; resetting it to No Scheme will also solve your problem.
