Hello again.
I am trying to play this game in the house of a friend mine, but when the game start (in the part you can control your character) this happen. Image attached.
Unnecessary to say, I can't play the game with a black screen and just letters showing.
Anyone have a fix for this? Or know why this happened?
I think I'll have to re-download the game, install it again, and see if work. (I hope that's not the only option, because it will take more two hours to download this game here)

EDIT: Forget, I found a solution. I put -no3d -doublebuffer in the shortcut and now everything works just fine.

At least this serves like a reference if this happens with someone else.

You might want to try install the unofficial patch found here in the forum:
http://www.gog.com/en/forum/arcanum_of_steamworks_and_magick_obscura/must_have_arcanum_fan_patches_widescreen_and_more
Additionally you also might want to start the game with the switches -no3d and --doublebuffer.
Just make a shortcut, then rightclick it and open the property pages. Switch to the Shortcut Page and add "-no3d -doublebuffer" at the end of the target executable, without the quotes.
e.g.:
"C:\Programs\Arcanum\Arcanum.exe" -no3d -doublebuffer
Additionally if you are running Windows Vista or 7, you should probably rightclick the shortcut afterwards and select "Run as Administrator".
