Crypton has managed to aquire ton of beta content that was cut from release version of Arcanum. He has kindly compiled them into a mod that integrates them back to the game for rest of us to enjoy.

Considering the massive amount of cut content restored by Drog and now Crypton (nearly 1500 animations!!!), one is left to wonder what Arcanum might have looked like had Troika had the time, resources and funds to put them all together. At least with the effort of these two and rest of modding community we can now get a glimse of what might have been.

ArcanumAlive - ArcanumBeta v1.0
-------------------------------------

Description:
This module restores most of the deleted beta content, which wasn't never ever released before.

Restored content:
-1202 critter animations.
-175 monster animations.
-88 unique npc animations.
-A complete set of new animations, armors and weapons for Orcs. Total 87 new anims.
-A new weapons and animations for some monsters, such as phantom.
-Original ambient sounds. City, grassland, village, mine, forest, etc. Total 21 sounds.
-Bonus, multiplayer online game fix - MatchMaker.

There are at least two new animations for every race, weapon and shield:
1) Walking with weapon (and/or shield) equipped.
2) Low attack with weapon (and/or shield) equipped.

Known bugs:
-Robes has a bit different shade of colors. Going to be fixed in next release.
-A few animations were badly rendered, so they contains some minor glitches. You won't probably notice them in game anyway.
-Missing non-gender animations for half-ogre race (HGX). Not included in original beta either.
-Missing animations for Air elemental. There were no art files for Air elemental in the beta, only duplicated Fire elemental.

Credits:
-All credits goes to original authors - Troika.
-Many thanks to person who was so kind and provided, for our community, this content. Thank you very much, we all owe you at least a beer!

Released by Crypton
There's also version Drog made to be compatible with his Unofficial Arcanum Patch here. It contains far less content unfortunately (less animations and none of the ambient sounds).

Fix for small machine plate animations and instructions how to add extra ambient sounds from Crypton's pack can be found here.

Sweet
Oh wow! This is awesome. Thanks for bringing this to GOG's community, Petrell. I think I'll have to get this (probably on the next release, since I have other things I'm playing now, and I might as well wait for some bugs to be fixed) and play through the game again. This seems like it is going to make a fantastic game even better.
Excellent! I'll have a look when I'm in my next Arcanum phase.
Hi guys. Can anybody upload this mod somewhere or provide a working link? I've played it ages ago and I'm in my Arcanum phase, so I'd love to try again, but the link is dead. I'd appreciate your help!

Edit: managed to find a link after more than an hour (on some Russian forum):

Thank you, for both taking the time to track this down and for sharing it with the rest of us.
Yes, thank you, I am downloading now :)
My pleasure!

You can find both versions (among other Arcanum stuff) in my OneDrive account

Does this mean that the ArcanumAlive mod is not compatible with Drog's UAP? Want to check before I go installing :)

If you read down that thread a bit it appears Muro found a way to get the ambient sounds working with Drog's UAP version of the beta patch. I haven't tried it myself, however.

You mean this: "paste ArcanumBeta2.dat (the dat containing beta ambient sounds) from Cryphon's version to the Arcanum root directory after installing Drog's pack"?

There is also a problem (probably with both packs) with small machined plate animations but there's a fix provided here.

Cryphon only tested it with vanilla version so you use it at your own risk (well you always do with mods). Drog's version is designed for UAP and actually requires it. While Drog's version misses the extra ambients you can add them manually as UniversalWolf pointed out. Do remember to use the fix for small machine plate too.

Dimossa: Is it possible to intall both drog and arcanum alive mods?
Do you mean is it possible install Arcanum Alive and Drog's ExtraAnimationsUAP or is it possible to install arcanum alive over Drogs UAP?

If first, you should not as Drog's ExtraAnimationsUAP is essentially Arcanum Alive with some content stripped and made compatible with UAP (Unofficial Arcanum Patch). You can add the stripped out content back but unfortunately with Terra Arcanum down, the instructions for doing so are currently unavailable. If you are going to attempt this install Arcanum Alive first followed by ExtraAnimationsUAP.

If the second, you obviously can but as I already said above it was tested on vanilla version of game (without UAP) and there must be a reason Drog made specifically UAP compatible version. Arcanum Alive also does not have any fixes Drog made for ExtraAnimationsUAP. So you install it at your own risk.
