I read the topic about mouse control problems, but setting my Logitech G5's report rate to 200 didn't change anything. Changing sensitivity hasn't seemed to make a difference either. Its like Setpoint's game settings have no effect on my mouse at all.
Lowering the in game sensitivity just gives me a larger dead zone, but my view still swings way too fast once it actually starts moving.
Anyone else have this issue and fix it?

I've got a joystick (just not with me at the moment), would I be better off using that?
What makes this more agrivating is that Aquanox 2 has none of these issues, and the mouse actually works really well without needing any tinkering.

I was searching here to see if anyone else was having this kind of issue. I installed the silent patch https://cookieplmonster.github.io/2020/03/17/silentpatch-aquanox/
which fixes the DPI polling problem, but the mouse still feels strange to me. It's simultaneously too sensitive and not sensitive enough. If I move the mouse really slowly I can manage to line up shots, but the moment I try to do more intense FPS style aiming the viewport swings wildly. Reducing the in game sensitivity to 5% for horizontal and vertical makes the game playable at least. I don't know, I think the game might function on some kind of mouse acceleration system.
Didn't try to use SilentPatch, but i finished the game around 3 years ago.
You have to set the polling rate to 125Hz.
All quake engine games have that problem too.
If you have a logitech mouse then you have to install logitech gaming-software to change the polling rate.

Everything above 125Hz is too much.
The game is getting flooded with mousepostion informations.
But the game engine can't handle that.

I added a picture.
There you can see how to do it.

I use the german version of logitech gaming software.
Here is a link to the english version of logitech gaming software.
