Dargnite: When will it be available on GOG ?
Me, when I look the game on my library with gog galaxy , i get message:

"due to technical reasons the release of the DRM-Free version of ancestors Legacy has been delayed"
me too, it is out of our hands but this doesn't look well for GOG from my point of view, patches delayed on other games dlc present on steam not even provided on this platform. Some things must change.
On Steam there is a post from the authors:

"When does the game launch exactly?!

Hey folks! We got couple questions, so here's the info. The game launches simultaneously worldwide on Steam.
Here's what hour it'll be in some example regions:

Los Angeles: 9am, May 22nd
London: 5pm, May 22nd
Warsaw: 6pm, May 22nd
Moscow: 7pm, May 22nd
Tokyo: 1am, May 23rd
Sydney: 2am, May 23rd

We're up all night tonight to watch YOU play. Cheers!"

I hope it's the same for GOG. Still 45 mins to go then..

Gog send email to customer :

"Dear GOG.COM user,

Thank you for pre-ordering Ancestors Legacy.

Due to technical reasons, the DRM-free version of the game will become available at a later date. We'd like to apologise for the inconvenience and assure you we're working with the publisher to fix this situation as soon as possible. If you would like to request a refund, feel free to contact our Support.

True,

I hadn't checked my mails... :)
My thoughts:
"technical reasons": standard phrase
"At a later date": one week? one month? one year?
I can wait another time...

because gog is better than steam ;)

probably at least one week, because they say the first week is crucial in game sales.

I must admit I didn't wait and I got my refund, and for this delay stunt won't even buy it on steam
sad thing is that I followed this game for months.
Hello,

In this case we do not sell pre-order on a platform game to be on the livery of the customer

So this is all we got?
Measly "we´re sorry" from developers, screwing their own customers?
I have preordered the game as well, and up until THIS very point I actually thought there has been some real technical issue, not a "lost sales" argument which prevented the release here.

If they really did it just for Steam sales, for me it is "no buy" of their next game.
I am not gonna bother with refund of this one, but I really wouldn´t like if they would create a precedence for other developers to follow with behavior like this.

Such a move is disappointing and if they are gonna do it again, I will think twice and hard before buying any more of their games.

Would have bought first day. But now I am not sure. What`s the (technical) problem releasing DRM Free if advertised so? WILL NOT buy on steam, BUT will think twice before buying on GOG now...

Best regards

phila
I'm talking out of my butt here but I assume the "technical difficulties" might have been the gog galaxy multiplayer implementation. The steam version was obviously the priority which is understandable.
