Now that the Machine For Pigs patch 1.02 has been
officially released by Frictional Games, is there a chance of getting a GOG version of the patch as well?
While the official patch can be used on the GOG version of the game the are a few "hiccups":
- One has to manually change the path to "C:\GOG Games\Amnesia - A Machine For Pigs"
- When selecting the installation folder one has to select "C:\GOG Games", without the appendix, or else the installation folder would result in "C:\GOG Games\Amnesia - A Machine For Pigs\Amnesia - A Machine For Pigs"
- The official patch cannot install on Windows XP, only using a trick, by faking it into thinking it were running on a newer Windows version
So an official GOG patch without these issues would certainly be helpful :-)
