Sorry for the title, couldn't resist.

To make it short, my PC isn't really a gaming setup, but I was able to play the first Amnesia on it mostly fine. Would I be able to run A Machine For Pigs? Doesn't have to be on highest settings, so are the two comparable in that regard?
I ran it fine on my laptop (which has a Nvidia 240M with a gen1 i7 1.6 GHz). I had to turn off shadows, but I didn't really have any issues even with other stuff set on med-high
Thanks, sounds good then. In the mean time, I checked the minimum specs and compared them to those of Dark Decent and they're almost the same, so I should be fine.

By the way, greetings to a fellow SH fan!^^
It would seem like a game that would be optimal for low/medium-end gaming rigs but according to the website "Can You Run It" not mine I guess. And I played the first game in its default settings (set to medium overall with high textures and most effects on except blur because the blur was constant and annoying) and it ran just about perfectly. I dunno how accurate that site's measurements are but it makes sense, I guess. I'm waiting it out til I get a new rig running.

This one has taste.
From Frictional Games site:

Minimum System Requirements

Operating System: Windows XP/Vista/7/8 (Windows XP is untested, but should work for you if The Dark Descent works)
CPU: High-End Intel Core 2.0GHz i3/AMD A6 or equivalent
RAM: 2GB RAM
GPU: Mid-End NVIDIA GeForce 200/AMD Radeon HD 5000 Series
Disk Space: 5GB
Peripherals: Mouse & Keyboard, Gampad/Controller (Tested with the Xbox 360 Controller)

Recommended System Requirements

Operating System: Windows 7
CPU: High-End Intel Core 2.0GHz i5/AMD FX or equivalent
RAM: 4GB RAM
GPU: High-End NVIDIA GeForce 400/AMD Radeon HD 6000 Series
Disk Space: 5GB
Peripherals: Mouse & Keyboard, Gampad/Controller (Tested with the Xbox 360 Controller)

Compatibility Notice: Integrated Intel HD Graphics should work but is not supported; problems are generally solved with a driver update.

But as you can see, unless your computer is really ancient Amnesia should run just fine. I don't have high end machine and game runs flawlessly with high graphic settings.
So, I installed it and it runs about as well as Amnesia 1 did. A bit worse, maybe, but I haven't been toying with the settings yet.
Where Can You Run It says I fail is with my CPU, everything else checked out OK:
Minimum: 2.0 GHz core i5 CPU or equivalent
You Have: AMD A6-4400M APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics
It's a laptop.
