Anyone able to run this on Windows 11?

Just got it recently and can't launch the game instead getting "issue finding adaptor for directx 11"

Checked around and updated my GPU - AMD
downloaded and installed DirectX 11
Ran in administrator and Windows 7, XP compatibility mode.
Toggled high DPI and ran in lower display resolutions.

**Edit.

I also looked around tech help page on GOG and closest I could find with DirectX problems was 'DirextX not found ..d3dx9" troubleshooting

I did all that and followed the links provided, saved in temp folder, ran the setup with admin and did the web installer.
also checked my AV hasn't quarantined anything or false flagged any .dll files.

I will try installing this game on a different PC with Nvdia gpus if that is any different

**Update**

I finally found what the problem was, but still no real solution.

I play my games on handheld gaming PCs

after having tested the game on my laptop and working, I came to realization some old games

do not work well with the portrait orientation of many handheld gaming PCs.

I confirmed when switching my OneXplayer X1 to portrait and then the game could run.

Of course, this isn't practical and having to put the game to 'no full screen' and then rotate the display horizontally,

so, I am looking for some sort of "auto-screen rotation" application for certain old games.

Only other solution I found was the use of a d3d8.dll file(s) that is meant to be place in the games' directory,
but that doesn't seem to work for this game.

Any tips from others who have had this problem would help
