This engine has a weird slight slugginess over dosbox. Mainly the mouse cursor, erratic and laggy, slow. Editing the sensitivity via config makes things a bit better but not perfect. It is something common in other titles using the same engine like Tex Mrphy Martian Memorandum. Probably the same in Countdown.

But the last time I tried it over scummvm the emulation was too slow in general, it felt "too demanding" or "heavy". Maybe it is better in newer versions. Anyway it can be a good option for testing a different way to play the game.
If the savegames were compatible I'd like to test it again.

How did you get it to install in ScummVM?

I mounted the fake-named iso (CD) and copied the .map files and then all the files in the CDROM\whateversubdirectory folders along with the installed GOG folder contents into one folder but I get "game data not found". DO I need to keep the chapter sub-directories intact? The wiki is quite vague, just saying how to access the files, not whether to keep them , and there are duplicates in the TDROM folder which have some size/date differences... are these files needed?

My old floppy version runs fine with ScummVM.

EDIT: I got it working by copying the *entire* ISO contents with subdirectories intact into an "Amazon" folder. I kept everything, though it's a bit of a pain how much more space this approach takes up. Can anyone confirm if it is okay to delete the CDROM folder? I did, just keeping TDROM and the game at least loaded (it doesn't if you delete TDROM and keep CDROM). Most of the files in these folders are duplicates... but some have time and date differences. Can anyone confirm if you *just* need TDROM or if CDROM is also needed?
